PAPERSKY TAIWAN

A Travel Proposal Beyond Borders, Discovering Landscapes Beyond the Everyday

PAPERSKY is a travel and culture magazine that weaves together writing and imagery, exploring local cultures and ways of living through a distinctive perspective. Founded in Japan in 2002, PAPERSKY has published 73 issues to date, traveling across the globe and throughout Japan. The magazine has also released three Taiwan special editions, offering in-depth portrayals of Taiwan’s landscapes, people, and everyday beauty.

In 2025, PAPERSKY TAIWAN was officially established with the launch of its Chinese-language edition.

More than a publication, it is a platform for cross-border exchange.

Through its unique approach to travel, PAPERSKY brings stories from Japan and around the world to Taiwan, while also sharing Taiwan’s landscapes and spirit with a broader international audience.

At the same time, PAPERSKY functions as a travel planning brand, continuously collaborating with brands and creators across regions to develop cross-disciplinary projects that connect travel, design, and culture.

Readers are invited to take part in discovering new ways of traveling—approaches that are more local, more intimate, and deeply connected to everyday life.

A Physical Space for Travel and Cultural Exchange

Extending the travel perspective portrayed in the magazine, PAPERSKY TAIWAN also uses a physical space as a starting point for exchange and connection.

The space features a large chalkboard artwork created by Japanese chalkboard illustrator Chalkboy, alongside a curated selection of PAPERSKY merchandise shipped directly from Japan. Talks and sharing sessions will be held regularly, inviting creators and travelers to gather, exchange ideas, and let the imagination of travel enter everyday life—continuing to unfold within the space.
