A Cozy Urban Corner for Unhurried Living
Rolling Dough Café takes its name from the art of folding and handcrafting dough — a metaphor for life’s simple, layered moments of joy.
The café specializes in freshly baked croissants and specialty coffee, available for both dine-in and takeaway.
Executive pastry chef Florian Bourquin, hailing from Switzerland, formerly led the pastry team at world-renowned chocolatier Pierre Marcolini. With expertise in traditional European baking, he crafts crisp, multi-layered French pastries with refined precision.
Rolling Dough aspires to be a new benchmark in croissant excellence. Guests are invited to pick up a croissant and stroll through the nearby Yuanshan Park in the Flora Expo area — extending the pleasures of everyday culture beyond the museum walls.
The restaurant is located on the second floor of the South Entrance of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, recently reopened after renovation. Thoughtfully designed to reflect the museum’s signature geometric lines and three-sided natural lighting, the space retains its architectural language while introducing warm wood accents, greenery, and curated materials to create an open and inviting dining environment.
The Rolling Dough café seating area offers a rare low-altitude flight path view in the heart of Taipei. With its unique vantage point for plane-watching, it invites visitors to gaze skyward and enjoy a fleeting moment as aircrafts pass above — adding a poetic layer to the urban experience alongside art appreciation.
Through food and beverage as a medium, this initiative aims to integrate real estate with cultural placemaking — activating the neighborhood, fostering community development, and creating vibrant environments that make people want to stay.
