Bonami

A French Bistro in the Museum — Where Casual Sharing Meets Contemporary Aesthetics

A New Taste of Art at TFAM.

Alife joins forces with Chef Jimmy Lim, founder of MMHG — a celebrated restaurant group honored with multiple Michelin stars and ranked among Asia’s 50 Best — to launch a new culinary concept within the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.

Together, they present a one-of-a-kind in-museum dining experience in Taiwan, designed to extend and enrich the visitor’s engagement with art.

This visionary space pays tribute to global icons like Le Café Marly at the Louvre and The Modern at MoMA, reimagining the role of food within cultural institutions and redefining how we dine in the context of art.

Bonami Bistro & Wine Bar takes its name from the French term “Bon ami” — meaning “good friend” — reflecting a warm, shareable approach to life and dining.

By day, Bonami offers a selection of light fare such as pasta, risotto, and handcrafted sandwiches. As evening falls, the space transforms into a cozy, ambient wine bar — making it a seamless continuation of your museum visit.

Executive Chef Percy Ho, formerly of several Michelin-starred restaurants in Hong Kong, brings a global perspective to local ingredients. His warm and unpretentious culinary style makes Bonami a welcoming place for gathering — whether it’s a catch-up with friends or a meal with family.

Bonami’s signature appetizer, Whole Artichoke with Garlic-Anchovy Sauce, features the timeless edible flower bud passed down since ancient Greece. Paired with a bold garlic-anchovy dip, its striking presentation and two fun ways to enjoy make it the perfect dish for sharing at the table.

Seafood lovers will enjoy the Cured Salmon with Fennel Salad, a light and elegant starter featuring dill- and spice-cured salmon — a French classic and a beloved pre-dinner ritual.

For a standout main, try the Pan-Seared Lemon Sole — a whole fish rarely seen in Taiwan, prepared with French technique and finished with house-made sauce. With its delicate texture and bright flavor, it’s a favorite on French tables and a highlight of Bonami’s menu.

Bonami is more than a classic French bistro offering comforting, soulful cuisine — it’s a complete cultural journey.

The experience is designed not only to nourish but to leave a lasting culinary memory that complements the visual delights of the museum. Bonami aspires to become a destination in itself — inviting international travelers to discover the unique cultural atmosphere of Taipei through taste.
