Our shop's interior design embodies a trendy and modern, street-style concept. The curry flavors are developed through a combination of culinary experiences from both Eastern and Western backgrounds, resulting in an experimental menu full of unexpected ideas. We aim to break free from conventional curry dining experiences and provide a fresh sensation and enjoyable experience, making every meal a reflection of taste and pleasure in life.
Signature and Must-Try Flavor|
Their signature flavor, "Spicy Citrus Curry," achieves a delicate balance between the heat of ghost peppers and the sweetness of citrus. With its rich aroma, this curry embodies layers of warmth, spiciness, and sweetness, highlighted by SUZAKU CURRY SHOP's characteristic orange and red hues. Freshly chopped onions are stir-fried for six hours until caramelized and thickened. Then, a generous amount of tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and a blend of aromatic spices are added and simmered. Finally, hot ghost peppers for spiciness and tangy citrus for sweetness are incorporated, allowing the flavors to mature for 72 hours, resulting in a deliciously spicy and appetizing taste.
Quality Ingredients for Consistent Dining Experience|
At SUZAKU CURRY SHOP, we use fresh, free-range chicken thighs delivered directly from local farms. Through a reverse method of sous-vide cooking, the meat is heated in a water bath at moderate to high temperatures to maintain the muscle structure of the chicken thighs, minimizing the risk of texture loss. Before serving, the chicken skin is seared using a blowtorch, bringing out a golden-brown, aromatic layer of rendered fat. The result is tender and juicy chicken with a melt-in-your-mouth sensation.
For our beef curry, beef short ribs and beef tendons are simmered together with a blend of spices. To enhance the flavor, a curry sauce is added after stewing. Similar to the chicken, the beef is also seared using a blowtorch before serving, creating a tantalizing aroma and adding a crispy texture to the tender beef short ribs and chewy beef tendons.
We carefully select Taiwanese No. 67 rice, which has a moderate amylose content (19% to 22%), offering distinct grains with a satisfying texture. When combined with the rich Suzaku curry sauce, it forms a perfect match. The side dishes vary seasonally, and we specifically choose edible organic corn sprouts as a representation of Suzaku's feathers. The chili threads on top of the rice symbolize Suzaku's nest, enhancing the visual appeal and enriching the curry tasting experience.
